altOur #1 Selling Paver Sealer Product!

SuperSeal Brick Paver Sealer is a clear non-yellowing solvent based acrylic sealer that will protect your Brick Pavers and Decorative Concrete surfaces from the sun's U.V. damaging rays, heavy traffic, oil, and other foreign objects. SuperSeal will enhance the natural appearance of your Brick Pavers and Cement with a "wet" look but will not make the Brick Pavers slippery. SuperSeal Brick Paver Sealer can be used for Stamped Concrete, Stamped Cement, Decorative Cement, Bricks, Acid Stained Cement, Concrete Stains, and Exposed Aggregate.

SuperSeal Brick Paver Sealer is a much higher solid content (25%) than similar water based (7-10%) products.

SuperSeal Brick Paver Sealer can be sprayed on with the Chapin 1949 Concrete Sprayer or applied with a 1/2" roller cover. It is to thick for a plastic "inexpensive" sprayer.

SuperSeal Brick Paver Sealer will help solidify sand in between the pavers and reduce the amount of weeds.

re: I would like to use Super sealer 25 to protect
One coat is all you need and it will revive the color as if wet with water. I would not add a tint unless you want to change the color drastically. You would need three five gallon pails for 1400 sq. feet.

I have a large faded stamped concrete patio(1400 sq) which also surrounds a pool. The sealer also seems to be mostly removed by the weather. I would like to use Super sealer 25 to protect. Would I only need one coat to achieve this, and do I need a tinting agent(grey) to bring back the color, or will the sealing do that on its own? Also if i mix in tint, how much of it do I use per gallon?

re: What Product will work best?
It depends on if the water-based sealer is still on the driveway and if the surface is porous enough to accept a solvent based sealer. Test to see if water absorbs or beads on the driveway. If it absorbs you should be okay but it would be best to do a test spot with the sealer prior to applying to the entire driveway.

The SuperSeal 25 is our most popular wet look sealer and is designed for decorative concrete surfaces such as brick pavers, stamped concrete, acid stains, etc.

What Product will work best?
I seal my driveway 2yrs ago with a water based product and was told I can't use a solvent based sealer over a water based.
Is this true?
I'm trying to achieve a nice wet-look on my driveway.
what product would you recommend?

Thank you.

re: Best product for pool deck
This SuperSeal25 is a great product for a pool patio in Florida.

It is not possible to have a wet look (darkening of color) and have no shine/gloss at all. You can get a lower shine with the SuperSeal Matte or Defy Paver Sealer.

Best product for pool deck
What is the best product for a pool deck in Florida?
I want a dull, wet look to enhance the color with no gloss.

re: ????
Paver sealers turning white is always from something underneath the sealer but is not always moisture.

1. Moisture - Can be fixed with straight xylene. No need to reseal.
2. Use of polymeric sand. The dust from this cementious sand can turn white under the sealer. Need to strip off the paver sealer then use a cleaner to remove this polymeric dust.
3. An old sealer was already on the pavers and had already turned white. Applying a new coat of sealer will not "fix" a already failed coat of sealer that had turned white.
4. Efflorescence salts on new pavers.

There is not one fix that can fix all the possible issues. Moisture is the most common reason to turn white and is the easiest to fix.

re: surface treatment for my paver driveway
The SuperSeal25 is the most popular product that we sell for brick pavers. A close second is the SuperSeal30. The difference between the two is that the SuperSeal30 is slightly shinier.

re: How often
The sealer typically lasts 18-36 months depending on traffic. It will slowly "dull" through the years from dirt, grime, and UV. Unfortunately the only way to stop dulling is to have a roof over the area. A lot of customers will restore the "shine" every so often by applying a solvent to reset the sealer:

Aromatic 100

How often do I need to re-seal

Re: reagent
I'll try that, thanks. It was a new install, they put a very thin overlay down, then did the acid stain. It seemed they were hurrying. They concrete overlay guy left the windows open on a cool day and cold night. There are parts that look awesome and other whole parts of the floor that looks very dull and then the other places that have blushing as spots or other shapes.

I will buy the solvent and see what happens. Overall, the gloss is not as high as I would have liked, but I'd be happy at this point to have it not dull and spotted.
Leslie Knowles , February 09, 2010
re: reagent
Blushing (turning white) can happen due to a variety of reasons:

1. Moisture trapped
2. Previously sealer was already failing prior to application of SuperSeal25
3. Water based sealer was used prior to SuperSeal25
4. If new install, Acid Stain was not thoroughly rinsed and or neutralized prior to application of SuperSeal25

I would not suggest applying another coat of sealer unless it has been a few years. Applying the Aromatic Solvent should reset the sealer so that it looks new again, removing the blushing.

We are experiencing some blushing all over. What do you suggest and would I have to add another coat of sealer on it?

Dry Time?
The super seal sealers, the semi-gloss, what is the drying time after application?

Great, I'll try it, none of the sealer I used before on my paver or
mexican tile did anything useful, glad I found this product.

The pool, It's natural concrete brick, mine looks a bit older/grayish, just trying to seal it with a matte/satin finish.

Thanks,

Marc

1. It should work just fine but I would suggest testing a small area first to make sure that it dries correctly and evenly.

2. Yes you can use it for a pool border. We do no carry the Matte in singles. What is the border of the pool made of?

I am glad to hear that it worked well for your paver patio!
TheSealerStore , April 20, 2009
Looks great!
Hi,

Just bought some superseal 25 for my brick paver and it looks great,
totally restored it.

1. Can I use this product on my outside mexican tile to restore it,
seal it and give it some shine?

2. Can I use your matte or 25 product for my pool border, I have
concrete bricks. Do carry the matte in 1 gallons?

Thanks,

Marc
