We are going to use TWP 1500 Cedartone or Natural on 4x6 Western Red Cedar "resawn" decking on a pedestrian bridge. We're told an abrasive (crushed walnut shells or =) can't be added to the TWP (i.e. won't work), but if we find the surface is slippery in the rain, will we be able to apply another manufacturer's solid body stain or paint with abrasive suspended in it over TWP 1500 & have it adhere with just primer? Or do you have a better solution?

TWP Stains are not designed to be top coated. Putting another stain or paint on top will most likely cause issues with the paint adhering properly to the TWP.

OK. Is there anything can add to the TWP to make it not slippery when wet? Or is it not very slippery anyway?

TWP is a penetrating stain. It is not possible to add anything into it. It is not prone to being slippery but it really depends on the wood, how it is prepped and if applied properly.
