CAUSTIC MULTI-LAYER PAINT & BLACK CRUST REMOVER
Description and Use
Stripper Cream is a thickened multilayer paint remover with excellent consistency and coverage that enables it to be sprayed, rolled, or brushed. The stripper is ready to use right out of the container. The cream has a very pleasant odor and is easy to work with for the professional. This is a highly caustic product when applied to paint, it will not dry out or leave a powder residue on the surface. As a paste, the paint may be scraped off mostly intact. This product can remain on the surface a day without drying out. Stripper Cream when diluted with water makes an excellent graffiti remover. With proper neutralization with NMD 80, Stripper Cream is excellent for wood stripping and repainting. Alkyd enamels can be stripped using a two-step process. First apply Stripsol while still wet, and then apply Stripper Cream. Stripper Cream is also great at removing heavy dimensional black crust on limestone.
* Proven effective with one application.
* Remains on vertical surfaces without drying out or stop working even after a day.
* Generally not effective on acrylics, urethanes or epoxy.
*Stripper Cream may fuzz wood so always test first.

Surface & Air Temperatures
To avoid harm to masonry, do not clean when temperatures are below freezing or will be overnight. Best cleaning results are obtained when air and masonry surface temperatures are 40° Fahrenheit or above. If freezing conditions exist prior to application, allow adequate time for masonry to thaw.
Pre-Testing of Paint or Stain
Always test prior to beginning full-scale cleaning operations. Testing should confirm effectiveness on each type designated to be removed. Test also to determine the desired surface contact time and any potential for adverse reactions with adjacent materials. Allow test panels to dry thoroughly before evaluating final appearance and results.
Use Stripper Cream undiluted for the best results.
Dilutions maybe used based on application and surface to be cleaned.
The two most important instructions in paint stripping are 1) do not try to save on paint stripper, and 2) do not take it off until it is done. These mistakes are made over and over again. Apply the stripper heavily and it will go through virtually any number of layers in the first pass. It will also give you the benefit of having a paste product to scrape off if you are containing waste. The second most common mistake is to take the product off before it is done, unlike other paint strippers, Stripper Cream does not dry out. Removal should begin when everywhere you scrape with a sharp tool you see substrate. Apply the stripper from the top down and inside out as heavily as you can by whichever method you choose. Roll, brush or spray through a caustic compatible unit. After adequate soak time, remove the paint by scraping or high-pressure rinse. It is suggested to have available a diluted solution of stripper cream, cut 4:1 with water, to reactive the first application. After a quick rinse, apply the dilute stripper cream. Then rinse from the top down. The diluted product should be applied after your first pass whether that is two, four or eight feet and allowed it to remain on the surface until you have gone all the way down the wall. After you have rinsed and reapplied all the way down the wall, it is time to do your final detailed rinse then neutralize. When neutralizing, use NMD80 diluted at 4 parts water to one part chemical. Alkyd enamel can be removed by first applying Stripsol allow to dwell for several minutes. While Stripsol is still wet apply Stripper Cream directly over the Stripsol. After adequate soak time and a scratch test, remove the paint by scraping or high-pressure rinse.
Coverage rates will vary from 50 - 200 sq. ft. /gal depending on the surface porosity, texture and severity of staining.
