Description and Use
Ef-fortless is a soap solution that melts efflorescence and helps to control its return. The user does not have to use a
pressure washer or even a garden hose to get the job done. This product is mildly acidic and safe for virtually all
surfaces. Application is a simple spray on process. When the Ef-fortless stops foaming the efflorescence is gone. The
amount of coverage will vary with the thickness of the efflorescence. With the most common powder type; coverage is approximately 75 square feet a gallon. “Calcite” type efflorescence, the thick, hard and ivory colored, would need presoak softener with one or two applications of Calcite Presoak, followed by Ef-fortless and/or NMD80.
You need not rinse Ef-fortless in most circumstances. Certain mortars may show a discoloration on drying;
if this occurs, simply reapply a light coating and pressure wash rinse.

Surface & Air Temperatures
To avoid harm to masonry, do not clean when temperatures are below freezing or will be overnight. Best cleaning results are obtained when air and masonry surface temperatures are 40° Fahrenheit or above. If freezing conditions exist prior to application, allow adequate time for masonry to thaw.
Before applying read “Protect” in Preparation section and “Precautionary Measures” under Safety Information.
Always test prior to beginning full-scale cleaning operations. Testing should confirm cleaning effectiveness on each type of surface and stain designated to be cleaned. Test also to determine the desired surface contact time and any potential for adverse reactions with adjacent materials. Allow test panels to dry thoroughly before evaluating final appearance and results.
Coverage rates will vary from 50 - 125 sq. ft. /gal depending on the surface porosity, texture and severity of staining.
Spray on Ef-fortless undiluted with at least a one minute dwell time or more. Reapply and look for foaming, once there is no foaming, there is no efflorescence and it will not reappear for at least a season that is if the product is left on without rinsing. You can rinse if you choose to do so, removing any chemical residue.
Always wear goggles and rubber gloves when handling this product. Keep off of skin and clothing. If material comes in contact with clothing, wash before reuse. Do not dilute Ef-fortless with any product. Do not use for any other applications other than specified. Do not remove label. Read Material Safety Data Sheet for additional safety and health hazard information prior to use. Do not get in eyes, on skin or clothing. Avoid breathing fumes. Keep container closed when not in use. Use with adequate ventilation. Applicators should wear plastic, rubber or PVC, boots and gloves, face shields and/or goggles to avoid splash to bare skin or eyes and MIOSH/MSHA approved respiration for use with acids if adequate ventilation is unavailable. Though the potential for fuming of Ef-fortless is minimal, take precautions to avoid exposing building occupants to fumes. Dispose of empty containers according to federal, state and local requirements. Avoid drifting of material or rinse water onto autos and pedestrians by protecting or diverting such traffic.
