SuperSeal30 can be used for Stamped Concrete, Stamped Cement, Decorative Cement, Concrete Brick Pavers, Acid Stained Cement, Concrete Stains, and Exposed Aggregate. SuperSeal enhances the natural color of your Brick Pavers and Decorative Concrete with a "wet" look.

SuperSeal30 can be applied with a 1/2" roller cover. You cannot use a sprayer.

SuperSeal30 will help sand erosion reducing the amount of weeds. One coat is recommended.

Coverage is about 100 sq. feet per gallon or 500 sq. feet per five gallon. One coat will result in a high gloss sheen depending on porosity of brick. Extra coats will result in a higher gloss.

Super Seal 30 is not suggested for Clay Pavers.

Looking to seal a new paving stone driveway. Looking for the wet look - this sealer seems to have very good review. Do you ship to Canada (Edmonton, Alberta). If yes - what is the shipping cost? Can it be sprayed using a large commercial sprayer? Is there a price break on 5 5gal pails? Thanks for you help.

Hello, unfortunately, this cannot be shipped to Canada due to VOC laws there.

We installed our brand new stamped concrete patio and walkway about three years ago. Shortly after we sealed the whole thing with Super Seal 30. It is time to reseal (almost three years) but I noticed there are some white hazing in a few areas. Do we need to strip all the old Super Seal 30 from all the concrete in order to get a uniform look? Do we just strip from the areas that show the white hazing? Or can we just recoat over the top of everything? The only sealer ever placed on this is the Super Seal 30. If we need to strip what would you recommend?

Spot treat the white areas with the A-1 solvent. Let dry and apply a light coat over all.

We have quite a bit of stamped concrete. The areas that are not covered have very little sealer left on them, however, the ones that are under the roof still look great. Do I power wash it all and roll the Superseal30 on all of it for a uniform look or will I need to strip what looks good now? Thanks.

One coat over all should even it out.

re: PREVIOUS SEALANT QUESTION
As long as the surface is clean, there is no obvious discoloration (white haze) from a past sealer, and the surface is porous, you should be good.
Quote
Previous sealant question
Home is in Washington State...about 10 years old...architect urally designed by previous owners.

There is a considerable amount of concrete brick pavers interlaced with decorative concrete borders about 3 feet wide.

I don't know what the previous sealant was nor, if, in fact, it was sealed. My mention of the 'architecturall y designed' aspect is relative to my assumption that it would have been.

Could we safely use this product on both surfaces without knowing this history?

I have all my pavers and stamped concrete sealed with SB25. My better half wants more gloss. Can I apply SB30 over the SB25 to increase the gloss?
Quote
-
Most likely it will not work over the water based sealer. Depending on the type it is, you would need to remove it first.
Quote

We applied a water base sealer a week ago to my pavers. It di not darken it like I would have liked. Is it possible to apply a coat of SS30 to give it the darker look or is it too soon and maybe should wait until next year? . I was also wondering if the SS30 is compatible with the water base?
Quote
re: DO THE PAVERS HAVE TO BE CORK DRY?
Yes it is breathable. Did you remove the previous sealer 100% that turned white? You cannot add this product on top and have it fix the problem, which is the sealer that turned white. Sealers do not go away naturally and will need to be chemically removed. Shipping is 3-4 business days.
Quote
Do the pavers have to be cork dry?
Is this sealer breathable? I laid down some Saran Wrap over my pavers to confirm they were completely dry, but there was some moisture on it when I checked the next day. I live in Florida, so maybe the humidity won't let them dry out completely???

They turned whitish from the last time they were sealed and I don't want this to happen again.
Also, how long does it take to arrive from when I order?
Thanks kindly

Maria, as you found out, it is not suggested to use the SS30 indoors due to the strong solvent odors. It is an outside sealer or can be used indoors when it is not inhabited for 3-7 days. To answer your question, this product will work: www.opwdecks.com/.../

Sealer type
I purchased the 5 gallon super sealer 30 (solvent based) and used it to seal my acid stained basement. It was a terrible idea. I did not know it couldn't be used indoors. It needs another coat but I cannot deal with the strong smell once again. It's dangerous:sad: do you have a sealer that is high gloss and it doesn't smell so bad?? I need to apply another coat. Thank you.
Quote
-
You can apply straight from the 5 gallon pail if you remove the lid completely. Not need to shake or stir this. Your temperature is good for applying.
Quote
Application
Should the product be poured into another container to dip the roller or should it be left in the original container. Does the product have to be shaken really well prior to application, Lastly, is 65 degrees, during the day when it will be applied, warm enough to apply the sealer. Thank you again. Brian

SuperSeal30 does not peel so it must have been seeming under the sealer that would not allow it to adhere. Not sure what you did wrong to cause this. Could have been a different sealer that was not compatible, water, etc.

I have purchased your product for my driveway pavers in the past. I did have it done "professionally " about 2 years ago, but the pavers are dull looking and I assume retreatment is necessary. However, the last time I used your product within 8-9 months the coating started peeling off. What did I do wrong and could this happen again? Thank you.

re: ADDITIONAL QUESTION
Just one coat is applied at 100 sq feet per gallon. Yes you can roll is on. Would not suggest sealing the coping edge of the pool.
Quote
additional question
sorry, 2 more questions. Since the pavers are new I do not need to clean them, BUT, how many applications should I put on, one or two. On the pool, can this be applied to the brick paver lip around the pool as well or should that be taped off? Thanks again.

Applying the product
Good afternoon. We just closed on our home which has grey based pavers on the driveway and the pool deck. I want to seal it myself but would like to confirm how to apply this. We live in Florida. Is it as simple as just rolling it on with a 1/2 inch roller. Should I apply it really thick so that it fills in the sanded / grout joint areas. Can I also use this product on my pool deck. Thank you

re: If a roller is used ,how do I keep sand off the roller
Make sure the sand is at least 1/4" inch below the top of the pavers. Use a "sponge" type roller and make sure that you roll on top of the surface.

re: STAMPED CONCRETE MAINTENANCE
Every 2-3 years. You can in the off years restore the shine of the SS30 by applying the Aromatic Solvent that we sell. This will make your current sealer look like new again.

Stamped Concrete Maintenance
Hi – now that I finally have the stripping and resealing project complete I don’t ever want to need to strip the sealer again and would like to know the best way to maintain my stamped concrete. I live in the Midwest and our summers are hot & sunny and winters are below freezing, sunny and snowy.
How often should I reseal the stamped concrete deck?
Thanks.

Yo can apply the second coat the day or a week after. It does not matter.

Time between 2 coats of SuperSeal30
Since I'm stripping my stamped concrete deck and want to use Super Grip, I was told to use two coats of SuperSeal30 (my choice of sealer) and put the Super Grip in the second coat.
Is there a preferred time duration between the two coats? I may have to do it between two weekends depending on the weather and would like to know if a week between is too long, or if I do one coat on a Sat and is it too soon to do the second coat on Sunday?
Thanks.

Chapin Xtreme Sprayer and SuperSeal30
I have a Chapin Xtreme Sprayer that is designed for concrete sealers and that I have used successfully with Kure N Seal 30 sealer: spray application and backroll with roller. Your info states that SuperSeal30 can't be sprayed...I'm hoping that applies to conventional air sprayers, and not the Chapin...please advise.

Super 30 and Super Grip
We used this product recently on our newly installed paver patio. My wife wanted the pavers to have dimension in their coloring.

I read a bunch of reviews and decided upon the Super Seal 30. After calling the friendly representatives at OPW they were able to tell me also about the Super Grip product.

I do some DYI, but let me tell you this, you could be all thumbs and still do this type of project.

You simply follow the directions. Prep your area, make sure it is DRY afterwards.Oh, I would make sure you wear a VOC mask. This stuff is STRONG and will make your throat sore and makes a bit dizzy if you don't. I used a full face mask.

I cut in the edges like any normal paint job. Afterwards, just do overlapping 90 perpendicular rolling of the sealer and poor you are done.

Now this is one coat but with the Super Grip, you need two coats. I did not make my 1st layer too thick. Besides, with porous pavers, the material soaks in a little bit.

I mixed in the container into the 5 gallons of the mix, now I proportioned mine since I only had one 5 gallon and the first go around I used only about 1.5 - 2 gallons. Mix the powder in; its like fine sand.

Mix completely, I used a paint mixing augur (local box store for about $5). You will need it trust me. Slapped it on my drill and off to the races.

Then followed up after 4 hours with my 2nd coat this time with the Super Grip and then the next morning, I was walking on my newly finished patio.

I will say though, it won't be slick glossy wet look on porous pavers. It is not like our stamped concrete sidewalks. Still, it does make the pavers look like after they have been washed down, the color pops and there is some shine.

Overall, very happy, total work time for 360 sq foot, (pre included) 5 hours without the dry time. Paver patio, hard edge set, inside pavers are drainage bed, and torpedo sand set. 1 to 5 (5 hard project) 2 to 3 because you will need to get some items (VOC mask and auger)

I hope this helps someone else, good luck with your DYI.

re: coefficient of friction for slipping
It varies depending on the surface texture and amount of coats. If an issue, you can add Super Grip into the sealer for traction.

Shine Last?
Typically needs to be done every two years. It will dull slightly through the years due to general dirt and the sun but does seal and protect for that long. Definitely will enhance your pavers!
Quote
Reply to Granite Stairs
It will work but may dry a little uneven. This is because of the different porosity throughout the natural stone. I would suggest test spotting a small areas first. Worst case scenario is a light second coat to even the shine out.
