I stained my deck last summer with the Armstrong Clark oil based stain. Before staining I applied a cleaner and brightener. The outcome was amazing and also lasted the winter as well as this summer. I'm finding that the stain will rub off onto clothing or when walked on with bare feet you can see the stain. Did I do something wrong for this to happen?

I'm also seeing in areas that are black underneath the stain. Should I try to clean up the stain again before winter? What do you suggest?

Best stain so far that I have used. I live in Canada, my deck gets the hot sun in summer and cold winters.

    Thanks,
    Margaret

I would like to have a quote for stripping and re-staining our cedar deck, railings and spindles. Throughout the years we've used Sikkens stain but some parts have peeled and not even an opaque stain will cover what's remaining. I understand you provide free estimates. Let me know what we need to do to schedule one. Thank you.

Many companies will not do individual decks in condo complexes, especially second floor decks...does your company?

We have used OPW's deck cleaning services for about 12 years now. Not only does the deck always come out looking great but they are the most professional contracting company that we have ever used! I highly recommend them!
