We will reply to your comment shortly· 09/14/2020New wood needs to weather for 3+ months and then cleaned and brightened for prep. Just one coat of the stain on new wood. About 3-4 gallons.

We will reply to your comment shortly· 09/14/2020How much Defy cedar stain do I need for a new cedar deck of 500 Sf. Do I need to put two coats on?
We will reply to your comment shortly· 04/29/2018I'm deciding between this and the extreme stain. Is the hardwood stain transparent or semi-transparent? Which one would last longer? Can both of them get a "refresh" coat after 1 year or so without having to strip all the old product off? My deck is redwood. It is 6 years old. I just flipped the boards over so it has nothing on it. I plan to wash and brighten using defy products. It is half in hot sun and half in (also hot) shade. Very warm dry summers and mild winters. Thank you.

We will reply to your comment shortly· 05/31/20123-4 gallons should be enough for this size of a deck. You could alos get the 5 gallon pail as it ships free.
